Proposal calls for dedicated right turn lane on southbound Huebner to provide added, widened capacity for those seeking to turn right onto W. Loop 1604 access road. Project would allow greater rate of cars straight through the intersection (those headed south on Huebner across 1604). Cost estimate provided by COSA Transportation & Capital Improvements.

District 9 Participatory Budget Projects Get Underway

The second year of the District 9 Participatory Budget voting results are in, and the winning projects have been selected. The Participatory or “People’s” Budget, the first and largest of its kind in San Antonio, allows residents of District 9 to vote on how their tax dollars are allocated within their neighborhoods. After securing one million dollars for district improvements, Councilman Courage wanted to use the money on local projects that were of greatest importance to the district.
