River City Run is a non-competitive running tour of the downtown San Antonio area. It has 16 different stops and is a perfect way for runners of all running levels to experience all that San Antonio has to offer.

The concept of this running tour came from Tina and Tommy Stolhandske who share a passion for running. In June of 2012, they decided to create a running tour that gives newcomers and long time residents of San Antonio a chance to see all the wonderful sites while getting in their daily run.

The running tour stops at The Alamo, The Emily Morgan Hotel, The Menger Hotel, Torch of Friendship, Palacio del Rio, Tower of Americas, La Villita, Arneson River Theatre, Bexar County Court House, El Mercado, Spanish Governor's Palace, City Hall, San Fernando Cathedral, The River Walk, Southwest School of Arts, San Antonio Library, The Majestic Theatre and The Buckhorse Saloon.

Tours are available every Saturday and Sunday starting at 8 a.m. The cost of the tour is $30 a person and includes a water bottle and a T-shirt.

Parking is available at the parking lots at The Alamo or at the meters on Broadway between Travis and Pecan.
