The Dish is a regular feature offering news about area restaurants and businesses, including recent openings, special events and future venues planned within and around the Stone Oak community.  

 

Coming Soon

Construction of a new Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will begin this August on one acre of land along Stone Oak Parkway, south of Huebner Road.  The 3,500-square-foot restaurant is expected to open in December with a staff of 40 to 50 people. 

 

K. Charles & Co. Salon will open a new location near Stone Oak Parkway and Loop 1604. 

 

Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is coming soon to the Stone Oak Crossing retail center near Huebner and Stone Oak Parkway.

 

Pet’s Barn, offering discounted pet supplies, will open soon near the H-E-B at Blanco Road and Loop 1604. 

 

Stoney’s Bar will open within the former G Sports Cafe near Stone Oak Parkway and Hardy Oak. 

 

 

Now Open

Glaze Bar & Lounge has opened within the former Duo club at 523 Med Court. 

 

Rooster’s Men’s Grooming Center within the Stone Oak Crossing retail center near Huebner and Stone Oak Parkway is now Matador Men’s Grooming. 

 

Hollywood Pizza has opened within the Stone Oak Crossing retail center near Huebner and Stone Oak Parkway. 

 

Nektar Lounge is now open at 19239 Stone Oak Parkway.

 

uBreakiFix has opened at18822 Stone Oak Parkway. 

 

Wilderness Oak Family Dentistry and the Diesel Barbershop have opened within The Commons at Wilderness Oaks near Gathering Oak and Wilderness Oak.   

 

The Popeyes recently built next to the Goodwill store near Hwy 281 and Evans Road is now open.

 

Knife & Fork Gastropub has opened within the former CABO Seafood Restaurant & Bar at 20626 Stone Oak Parkway.

 

 

Moving

Heather Stolle’s School of Dance will be moving its Stone Oak location to The Commons at Wilderness Oaks, 20818 Gathering Oak Suite 100. 

 

 

Closed

The Zips Car Wash, which just opened near Stone Oak Parkway and Huebner in March, has closed.  The company also shuttered its Blanco Road location, but continues to operate car washes at 10919 Fredericksburg and 11816 Bandera Road.     

 

The Clothesline Cleaners within the Stone Oak Crossing retail center near Huebner and Stone Oak Parkway has closed.    

 

The Lynda Fisher Hair Studio was locked out of its location near Hwy 281 and Loop 1604 for nonpayment of rent and has closed.
