Kuper Sotheby's International Realty opens new office
Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty, a well-established company often dubbed as San Antonio’s “first family of real estate,” is opening a new office in the Stone Oak area today. Already located in Boerne, Alamo Heights and the Dominion, Kuper Sotheby's International Realty’s Stone Oak office in the Ventura retail plaza completes yet another step in the company’s growth plan.
“Stone Oak has always been on our radar screen. We have just been trying to identify the ideal location,” says principal broker and CEO Rick Kuper. “We feel this is a great market area and we’re looking forward to being here.”
The nearly 40-year-old company is led today by three generations of the Kuper family. Rick Kuper’s father and brother, Charles Kuper Sr. and Charles Jr., founded Kuper Realty Corporation in 1972 to facilitate the sales and marketing of their personal commercial real estate ventures. In 1976, Rick Kuper’s mother, Kathleen Kuper, joined the firm to expand its residential sales market. Her gracious personality and commitment to excellent customer service helped build her reputation as an expert in luxury home sales and expand the company from six sales associates in 1981 to more than 125 full-time employees today. Kathleen can still be found working in the Alamo Heights office six to seven days a week.
Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty is a full-service real estate company, but focuses primarily on residential properties with an average sales price of roughly $450,000. “One of the highest averages in the city,” notes Rick Kuper.
Consistently recognized as one of the Top Realtors in San Antonio, Rick Kuper has been CEO of his family’s company since 2007. Just last year a third generation picked up the reins when Rick Kuper’s oldest son, J. Kuper, joined as General Manager.
While Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty offers the intimacy and personal attention provided by a family-led business, the company also has a global reach thanks to its exclusive affiliation with Sotheby’s International Realty. As a member of this network, Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty enjoys access to the firm’s powerful marketing outlets, affiliation with the prestigious Sotheby’s International Realty and referrals from Sotheby’s International Realty’s 543 offices in 44 countries.
Sotheby’s International Realty’s marketing materials alone were viewed 193 million times in the past year, up from 100 million impressions in 2009. On a local level, Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty is also featured in numerous real estate magazines, including “American Luxury Estates” which boasts an e-mail subscriber list of more than 250,000 potential buyers.
“There’s not another entity that offers that level of marketing support on a national level, or global level for that matter,” says Rick Kuper. “Our clients are getting the maximum exposure for properties that the competition can’t replicate.”
The increased focus on marketing has helped Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty not only stay afloat during today’s tough economic times, but prosper. Last year, the company recorded its second best sales year in its 39-year history.
Rick Kuper anticipates only continued success in Stone Oak, given the community’s appeal to families, swelling melting pot and increasing popularity among foreign investors. “There are great schools, restaurants, the lifestyle and neighborhoods that are all new and fresh,” he says. “We’re very excited to be in the Stone Oak area and we are opening with extraordinary agents and will have room for expansion.”
Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty’s new Stone Oak office is located near Silo’s Elevated Cuisine in the Ventura Plaza at 434 N. Loop 1604 West between Blanco Road and Stone Oak Parkway. For more information, visit www.kuperrealty.com.
