Come ask Councilwoman Chan your District 9 Questions.

Matt Scherer

If you live in District 9, you have probably seen the handiwork of Elisa Chan, our city council woman.

As someone who lives in Stone Oak, I can attest that her efforts to fix traffic issues has made me want to thank her for that attention to detail.  Several years ago, a drive out of my neighborhood was a good 20 to 30 minutes with the influx of parents who drive their children to school.  In short, it was a mess to leave my house unless I left before 6:45 a.m. or after 9 a.m.

Yesterday, I left the house for a meeting, thinking that I would be late for a 7:30 a.m. meeting.  Amazingly,  the lights and the traffic flow was such that I arrived on time.

On April 28, I will be moderating a Qs and As session with Councilwoman Chan as part of the Stone Oak Info monthly meeting.   So, I am using this blog to ask for questions to ask her.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m. at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, 19239 Stone Oak Parkway, and you're welcome to attend.  However, I am hoping that people in her district will send me some questions.

Like Mayor Julian Castro, I know that Elisa is someone who understands the need to foster technology firms in our city.  Her work on behalf of the city to foster relationships in Asia is also of note.

Still, I am sure there are people with questions for here.  So please send them to me via the blog.
