Home of gruesome murder up for sale

On paper, the home is similar to many others on the market in Stone Oak – four bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, 3,492 square feet and a $210,000 price tag. Yet, this home at 1203 Summit Crest was also the site of a gruesome murder two years ago.
In the early hours of June 23, 2008, the home’s owner, Sidney Dees, and a visiting friend were shot and set on fire inside the two-story residence. Dees, 64, died at the scene. The friend, Sharon Denson, escaped, but died of her injuries less than a week later. Denson's estranged husband, Glen Denson, was arrested shortly after the shootings and has remained in jail on charges of arson, bodily injury and capital murder.
Glen Denson’s trial is set to begin Sept. 14. In July of last year, prosecutors announced they would not seek the death penalty in this case. If convicted, Glen Denson could face a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
