Junior League to host 17th Annual Holiday Olé Market
The Junior League of San Antonio, Inc. will host the 17th annual “Holiday Olé Market, A Hill Country Holiday” shopping extravaganza at the Alzafar Shrine Oct. 20-23. Veronyka’s opens new location
Veronyka’s Color Salon and Spa has opened a second location within The Mansions at TPC at 22800 Bulverde Road. Lion and Rose now offers lunch delivery service
The Stone Oak Lion & Rose British Restaurant and Pub at 700 E. Sonterra Blvd., is now offering lunch delivery. In other news, the popular watering hole was named September’s U.S. Soccer Bar of the Month by the U.S. Soccer Federation.
Precision Kuts offers End of Summer Sales
Precision Kuts, located at 19202 Stone Oak Parkway at Huebner Road, is offering a couple End of Summer deals. Sept. 6-11 clients may receive 25 percent off all products as part of Precision’s Labor Day Sale. In honor of Grandparents Day, the salon is also offering all grandmas and grandpas $2 off a shampoo/set or haircut Sept. 13-16. Saweet Seeks Votes in Food Race
San Antonio’s very own Saweet Cupcakes is seeking votes in the Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race. The mobile cupcakery is racing among vehicle-based vendors across the country for the most online votes. Contest ends Sept. 10 and winners will receive a $10,000 prize and the opportunity to participate in the next Great Food Truck Race TV show. The Saweet van is often parked near Stone Oak Parkway and Hardy Oak and its cupcakes are also available for purchase within the SOGO Market Café. A Mexico to Go! Homemade Cooking restaurant is coming to the strip mall at 2339 E. Evans Road and is now hiring.
A Copeland’s of New Orleans restaurant is coming soon to the Village at Stone Oak retail center near Stone Oak Parkway and Hwy 281.
An Agua-Tots swim school is coming soon to the Village at Stone Oak retail center near Stone Oak Parkway and Hwy 281.
Party City is expected to open within the Village at Stone Oak this month.
Radio Shack will also open soon within the Village at Stone Oak.
Rome’s Pizza has filed a request for a liquor license and will be coming soon to 19298 Stone Oak Parkway. Space within that new mixed-use center at the corner of Knights Cross has also been leased to Escape Spa and Salon. Cabana Palms, a restaurant and lounge, will house the building on the west corner of the property.

The McDonald's at Stone Oak Parkway and Hardy Oak is now open. The new fast-food joint will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 10, followed by a family-fun day on Sept 11 with games, prize drawings, appearances by Ronald McDonald and a 2 p.m. magic show.
Victoria’s Tailor and Alterations has opened a second location near Hwy 281 and E. Evans Road.
Hope Arise UMC has already held a few services at Johnson High School, but will officially launch Sunday, Sept. 12 at 10:10 a.m.
After sitting dormant for several months, the CVS at the corner of Canyon Golf and Stone Oak Parkway finally opened last weekend.
