Volunteers sought for Graffiti Wipeout Days

Graffiti

This year the 7th Annual Graffiti Wipeout Volunteer Days is striving to reach its 10,000th volunteer with your help. Once again, the City is calling for volunteers for this annual community wide cleanup effort that helps to abate graffiti and pickup litter across the city. Individuals interested in helping to make a difference in the community can sign up online at www.sanantonio.gov/graffiti.

In the past six years, 9,792 people have joined forces with the City's Housing and Neighborhood Services Department to help eradicate graffiti across San Antonio. Since its inception, the event has grown to now include three days of beautification.

Individuals, families, civic groups, churches, schools and businesses are all invited to wipeout graffiti in San Antonio on the following Saturdays in September: 11, 18 and 25. Each cleanup day will take place from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Awards will be given out to the groups and organizations with the most volunteers at an appreciation luncheon on Sept. 25 from noon to 2 p.m. at Camargo Park.
