Kids eat for free?!? Yep, and here's where...

Moms, dads, your mission -- should you choose to accept – is to take the young ones out to eat. At a restaurant. In public. Where there will be dozens of people shooting you the same evil eye received by those who dare to bring a baby aboard an airplane. Yes, this is a dangerous assignment and some of you might not make it back. But, it’s quarter to six, the frozen lasagna is still, well, frozen and the neighbors will report you to Social Services if you have one more pizza delivered to the house.
So grab the kids and go out to dinner, where you will spend two hours asking for more napkins, asking for clean silverware, wiping up spills, taking trips to the potty and reminding the kids to “Keep your voice down,” “Speak up, I can’t hear you, “Get over here,” “Go sit over there,” “Don’t put that in your mouth,” “Take that out of your nose,” Stop playing with that,” “Stop kicking the chair,” “You just went to the bathroom,” “No,” “I said No,” “Take one more bite,” “One more bite,” “No dessert until you take one more bite.”
A relaxing and fun-filled dinner? Ah, probably not. But, depending on where and when you eat the children’s chow can at least be on the house. Despite this harsh economy many restaurants within the Stone Oak area are still offering free kids’ meals on a weekly and even daily basis. While these special offers won’t eliminate any debates on whether French fries are, in fact, a vegetable, they will help families avoid any arguments about whether Junior will actually eat that $8 cheeseburger. So toss that frozen lasagna back in the freezer, grab the little monsters and join the masses who occasionally throw down that oven mitt and exclaim, “I’m not cooking tonight!”
