Concordia Church hosts 1st Drive-Thru Passion

Scene from Drive-Thru Passion

Concordia Lutheran Church hosted its first Drive-Thru Passion Saturday, March 6.  Free and open to the public, the event included 10 stations depicting the story of Easter, from the birth of Jesus and the miracles he performed to his crucifixion and resurrection.

Since 2004, Concordia has hosted a Drive-Thru Nativity every December, which draws between 8,000 and 10,000 people over a two-night period.  Saturday’s Passion was similar to the Christmas event and included free cookies, live music and an audio CD narrating each scene.

Guests are also invited to attend an Easter Pageant at 6 p.m. March 27 and 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday, March 28.  An Easter Egg Hunt, also free and open to the public, will be held for children 2 years of age through the fifth grade at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3.  On Easter Sunday, April 4, Concordia will offer a 6:30 a.m. sunrise service, followed by 9:30 and 11 a.m. services.

Concordia Lutheran Church is located at the intersection of Loop 1604 and Huebner Road.  For more information, visit www.concordialutheranchurch.com.
