Are you ready for some football!?!

The 2010 Super Bowl is Sunday and the Stone Oak area is the place to be if you need a spot to watch the game or some last minute snacks. Below are just a few suggestions.
Where’s the game playing?
Lion and Rose British Restaurant and Pub, 700 E. Sonterra Blvd.
The game will probably be on all 13 televisions found within Stone Oak’s Lion and Rose Pub this Sunday. Even though there’s not a seat in the house that won’t have a view of the game, the sound will also be piped throughout the restaurant. Super Bowl food and drink specials will be offered from 4 to 9 p.m., including half-price appetizers and $2 well drinks.
Boston’s Pizza, near Loop 1604 and Hwy 281 in the Legacy shopping center
Sunday’s game will definitely be playing on the many televisions found within this restaurant and sports bar. Happy hour drink specials will also be available.
Indigo Joe’s Sports Pub and Restaurant, 19239 Stone Oak Parkway
With 50 – that’s 50 – televisions, the game will be seen from every corner of Indigo Joe’s Sports Pub near Stone Oak Parkway and Huebner Road. Enjoy Super Bowl specials all day long, including $9.99 domestic pitchers or domestic buckets of five long necks. Indigo Joe’s will also offer $3 shots every time a touchdown is made.
Aldino at the Vineyard restaurant, Loop 1604 and Blanco Road
Watch Sunday’s game and enjoy $5 bar menu and drink specials all night long at Aldino’s. Space is limited. Call 340-0000 for reservations.
Roaring Fork restaurant, 1806 N. Loop 1604 West
The game will be on at the Roaring Fork restaurant near Loop 1604 and Huebner Road. Enjoy all-night happy hour specials and buy one entrée and get a second one of lesser value for free.

Crown of Life Lutheran Church, 19291 Stone Oak Pkwy
The youth of Crown of Life Lutheran Church will sell made-to-order submarine sandwiches for Super Bowl Sunday. Proceeds will help fund a trip to the 2010 National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Orders must be received by 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 and subs will be available for pick-up at the church between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on game day. Aldaco’s Mexican Cuisine, Stone Oak Parkway and Hardy Oak
Aldaco’s Mexican restaurant is advertising some Super Bowl specials, including a dozen cheese enchiladas for $15 and three to four servings of chicken and beef fajitas with all the fixings for $26.95. Call 494-0561 for more information.

Transplants for Children 5K Fun Run & Walk, Rogers Ranch Spectrum
Escape the Super Bowl frenzy and join the first annual Transplants for Children Pre-Game 5K Fun Run and Walk at the Rogers Ranch Spectrum Club on Sunday, Feb. 7. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the run/walk will start at 9 a.m. Cost is $35 for adults and $25 for children 15 years of age and younger. Proceeds benefit the Transplants for Children’s mission to assist young orgran and tissue transplant recipients and their families with the emotional, financial and social challenges that arise before, during and after a transplant.
