Through nanotechnology, or the science of manipulating materials on an atomic or molecular scale, the Prestige window tint is composed of hundreds of layers, but is thinner than a Post-It note.  “It’s really crazy stuff.  It’s completely changed the industry,” says Skidmore, adding that the clear tint essentially broke the laws of physics.  “You are not suppose to do this.”

While completely clear, the Prestige window tint blocks up 99.9 percent of ultraviolet rays, can cool a room by 15 degrees, reduce the fading of furniture and rugs and cut electricity bills by 25 percent.  “It pays for itself in three to five years,” says Skidmore.

Installation of window tint on an average size home is usually completed in a single day.  Sunset conducts background checks on all employees and never uses seasonal help or subcontractors.
