Stone Oak's annual POA meeting is tonight

Community members are encouraged to attend Stone Oak's annual Property Owners Association meeting Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 25023 Huebner Road.  The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

The meeting’s agenda includes the election of four members of the POA Board of Directors.  Current board members Sandy Whitley, Viki Melton and Ken Piland are seeking reelection, as are representatives for three of the POA’s commercial members – Falcon Bank, North Central Baptist Hosptial and JP Morgan Chase Bank.      

The four nominees will be elected to the board following a vote by all POA members in good standing during the Jan. 25 annual meeting.  Board members are elected to two-year terms.  Nominations of other candidates will also be accepted during the meeting. 

With the exception of the chairman, the 11-member Board of Directors is comprised of only members of the POA.  Five board seats are held by Stone residents.  Representatives from area businesses or multi-family properties fill another five seats.

District 9 Councilwoman Elisa Chan and representatives from the San Antonio Police Department and the San Antonio Water System are also expected to speak.
