The Montessori School of San Antonio provides a personalized education using the Montessori method and philosophy. Montessori education is organized around the developmental needs and tendencies of students at various stages of life.

This organization leads to mixed-age groupings, which provide rich peer stimulus and ample opportunities for continuity in each student’s learning process. Individual differences in style and pace of learning are accommodated within the classroom. One-on-one teaching and group lessons, small and large, are a few of the many components of instruction. The curriculum is organized to move from the simple to the complex, with each lesson built on the previous one, thus promoting a more comprehensive understanding of ideas, concepts, and values.

Though the lessons are given one at a time, each subject area crosses the curriculum, incorporating a variety of skills and academic concepts.

The Montessori school educates children ages 3-14 and is currently enrolling for Fall 2009. MSSA admits children of any race, gender, religion, national or ethnic origin.
