Pastor Hagee's wife cleared of cancer

Cornerstone Church

The wife of Cornerstone Church founder Pastor John Hagee has received a clean bill of health nearly a month after undergoing a double mastectomy to treat breast cancer.  In a letter posted on the church web site Feb. 2, Diana Hagee confirms her final pathology report found no evidence of malignancy.

“I give thanks to the Lord for His mighty works and supernatural healing,” Diana writes.  “I am grateful to Him beyond measure for He has given me my life back.  I take nothing for granted.”

Diana was diagnosed with breast cancer the week of Thanksgiving following a routine mammogram.  Although the cancer was in an early stage, she decided to undergo a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction.  Diana's roughly eight-hour surgery was Jan. 7.

“It is an invasive surgery yet I had an insidious enemy that had no place in my body and I wanted it out,” she writes.

Diana’s health scare came just weeks after Pastor Hagee underwent open heart bypass surgery to repair blocked arteries.  According to Diana, he “has recovered superbly well; above what the doctors anticipated and we are planning many, many more wonderful years of life and ministry together.”

Pastor John Hagee, an internationally known radio and television evangelist, founded Cornerstone in 1975.  The church, located at the corner of Stone Oak Parkway and Loop 1604, currently has more than 19,000 members.
