Carrie Nordin Hall, OD
Dr. Carrie Nordin Hall grew up in Edna, TX near Victoria. After graduating high school, she attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science in 1999. While in college she worked part-time at an optometry clinic, and it was there she decided to pursue a career in optometry. Carrie graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2003. While in school she participated as an instructor in optics for the summer TEXOCOP program for undergraduate students considering applying to optometry school. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society at the University of Houston. Carrie completed two externship rotations in Dallas, TX and has been practicing for three years since graduation. One of her externships provided extensive training with LASIK surgery consultations. This is an option for many patients and she would love to answer any questions patients have about the procedures available to them. She has been an associate with Dr. Monica Allison for more than two years and is looking forward to the opportunity to develop the Stone Oak practice together. She is currently an active member in the Bexar County Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. She has experience working with the Optomap retinal imaging system that has recently been installed in the practice. The new technology allows for a more comprehensive assessment of the health of the eye and takes less than one minute to complete the scan. The results are reviewed with the doctor and patient together in the examination room. It is truly an amazing instrument. If you would like to experience this new technology, or have any other ocular needs, Carrie can be contacted @ Stone Oak Vision Source 19202 Stone Oak Parkway Ste. 106 (210) 495-9020.
