Lyle Larson, the Republican candidate for the District 23 Representative seat, will host a town hall meeting Saturday at Jim’s Restaurant near Blanco Road and Loop 1604. The current Bexar County Commissioner for Precinct 3, Larson seeks to win the Congressional seat held by Rep. Ciro Rodriguez in the Nov. 4 election.
According to Larson’s campaign office, the candidate will speak about “anything and everything,” including border control, taxation and those topics of concern for constituents. The town hall will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is expected to last about an hour. Larson will host a second town hall meeting at 11:30 a.m. on the city’s south side.
The largest district in the state, the 23rd Congressional District stretches from El Paso to San Antonio and includes some areas northwest of Hwy 281 and Loop 1604.
A former city councilman, Larson has been a county commissioner since 1997. His campaign for Congress has focused on the energy crisis and the need to increase domestic oil production, as well as his push for tighter border control measures. Read more about Larson’s platform at:
