On Saturday, July 12, city residents are welcome to drop off unwanted bulk items at any of the four designated drop-off locations free of charge.  Items accepted include furniture, mattresses, household appliances and car tires.  Participants must be a resident of San Antonio and show a recent CPS Energy bill as well as a photo ID.  The Free Lanfill Disposal Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Locations include BFI-Tessman Road Landfill at 7000 I-10, the WM-Covel Gardens Landfill at 8611 Covel Road, TDS Starcrest Transfer Station at 11601 Starcrest Road and the Southside Drop-off Center at 5450 Castroville Road.  Only brush material will be accepted at the Bitters Brush Recycling Center at 1800 Bitters Road.
