"Operation Home Cooking” kicked off their 37th year on October 29 and will remain open until every trainee has been spoken for. Many of these service members are away from their families for the first time and this program allows them to spend Thanksgiving with a local family. Last year, more than 4,500 service members were able to share in a traditional Thanksgiving feast and more than 5,000 are eligible again this year.
