District 9 Meeting on Camp Bullis Land Use Study

District 9 Councilman Louis Rowe will host a community meeting on the Camp Bullis Land Use Study at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 at Reagan High School. Several topics regarding efforts to protect Camp Bullis as well as progress made towards developing a plan for compatible land use around the military installation will be discussed.

The Reagan High School Orchestra's annual fundraiser at Barnes and Noble will be held Nov. 21-22. Students will play holiday ensemble music at the bookstore near Loop 1604 and Hwy 281 from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. Proceeds from purchases made on these days will benefit the orchestra. Book fair vouchers must be used at the time of purchase and are available at the store or on line at www.rattlersorchestra.com.

The Johnson High School Orchestra, in conjunction with the Northwoods Barnes and Noble near Loop 1604 and Hwy 281, will host a fundraising day Saturday, Nov. 29. The Johnson community is encouraged to stop by the bookstore on this day and do some holiday shopping. Proceeds will benefit the orchestra and help off-set performance costs for the remainder of the school year.
