BexarMet will hold a public hearing to discuss potential water rate changes at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 30 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 20523 Huebner Road. Another public hearing will be held at BexarMet headquarters, 2047 W. Malone Ave., at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 29. BexarMet customers will be allowed to voice their opinions on the proposed rate changes at either meeting.

Lifehouse Church, 20825 Wilderness Oak, will meet at a special time Sunday, July 4 to allow for a special Independence Day celebration. The service will begin at 9 a.m. outside, if the weather cooperates. If raining, visitors should proceed indoors.

Spikey Mikey, a favorite San Antonio magician, will deliver a boxcar full of summer reading magic at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7 at the Bannwolf Public Library. Part of the library's Catch the Reading Express summer reading program, this free event is recommended for school age children. Younger children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Bannwolf Library is located within the Reagan High School campus.
