The second annual San Antonio VisionWalk will be held Saturday, March 13 at Brackenridge Park.  Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5k walk will kick-off at 9 a.m.  Proceeds beneft the Foundation Fighting Blindness, an organization dedicated to funding research studies for the prevention, treatment and cure of blinding diseases. A Grand Opening Salute commemorating the opening of the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa will be held March 19-20.  The event will include a golf tournament, tours of the resort, local vendor marketplace and a star-studded gala dinner.  VIP tables for eight people at Saturday's gala are $5,000, a two-night package and two tickets to the gala are available for $1,200 and a one-night package and two tickets to the gala costs $850.  All proceeds benefit The Fisher House Foundation, the Intrepid Museum and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.  For more in

Every Thursday in April a "Spirit Night" fundraising event supporting Reagan High School's 2010 Project Graduation will be held at a different local restaurant.  On Thursday, April 8, Spirit Night will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at McAlister's Deli near Loop 1604 and Hwy 281.  A portion of sales made during this time will support Project Graduation, an all-night drug- and alcohol-free graduation party held for Reagan High seniors.
