Precision Sport and Spine will host a free seminar, "Fats that Heal - Fats that Kill," on Thursday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m.    Attendees will learn which healthy fats can help them lose weight and how eating the wrong fats can lead to a variety of health problems, including arthritis, colitis, heart disease, stroke, astma and joint pain.  Attendees will also receive a free exam, a $140 value.  Registration is required.  For more information call 492-0111.

The Alamo Regional Mobility Authority will hold a public hearing immediately after its 12 p.m. board meeting Wednesday, June 11 at the VIA Metropolitan Transit Center, 1021 San Pedro.  The hearing, which is expected to begin around 1 p.m., will allow for comments from the public concerning RMA's decision to enter into a design-build construction contract with Cibolo Creek Infrastructure Joint Venture to build the US 281 toll road between Loop 1604 and the Comal County line.
